  1. my Morris c8 gs camper [not me in the photo]. We have ways of converting your old MVs into campers, takes 5 mins to take off and put back to its old use.Just need to drill a few holes into it, but nothing a bit of filler cant patch up. Gives your old truck a lease of New life.[ photo taken on 1st April ]
  2. Found some original photos from my collection of some M26 Pacifics in WW2.
  3. New type of para bike in the german army, use once, then can be used for making a fire. Original photo from my collection.

  6. Thanks Lee for the info on the book printing, am downloading the info on it now. this is the first go at the cover. now need the time to do the rest of the book. Photo of a morris Commercial that has been hit by weapons fire on the eastern front, and taken from the BEF in 1940. Dunkirk area.
  7. 2 more original photos from my collection. could be reserve troops, had a long wait to be called up. Hope to start my book soon with lots of photos [approx 250 photos ] of the Wehrmacht with british Vehicles. depends on the cost of printing it ect.

  12. Original photos from my Collection. German officer with badge any info on his rank ect, with his BMW and a British Truck, + photos New type of car, moving house.

He who waits, found this broken/blown up peice of Notek light on German Ebay and put WD 40 on it for 2 days, still had a hard time getting it apart but worth it. 2nd photo is of it in my notek light with broken bulb. Just need a WW2 German Notek bulb to finish off, has diffrent fittings, 2 lugs one on each side [ see 2nd photo of the top lug ] that fit into the brass holder [see photo]. Any one have the bulb for sale?.
  14. I have put more of the photo of the truck and in the background of the Bedford truck photo you can see [ just ] it from the other side. I think it might be a Dennis? as the mudguard looks the same and the wood on the side as well, to small to be a Matador.
  15. dont know if this is any good for photos but was on Wikipedia from them asking for info on copyright of HMSO info. This was sent in 2005.
  16. The Diamond on the door and left mudguard of the bedford is a HQ Squadron mark
  17. 11 Armoured Div sign & 1st Bn The Herefordshire Regt Cap badge. The 159th Brigade were in this battle as well.
  18. I have been given some info from Geoff. 11 Armoured Div liberated Deurne and 62 is the 2nd Infantry Battalion, so the vehicles are of the 1st Bn The Herefordshire Regt.

On post No 5. the L/cpl DR could be an MP with a stengun as you can just see the butt. i think the wood planks cover a smaller canal or ditch as the original one was not good with this amount of traffic, Tanks, Brengun carriers, trucks Ect. The station Building in the photo was put up in 1894 but closed in 1936, it was used as a school and in 1970 it was pulled down. Thats why i like collecting photos as you can see much more info in them and now that you can inlarge them on a pc you see even more info. I never knew there was a place in Holland called America untill i bought the photos.
  20. I wonder if he ment Deurne as that is next to America. I think the last photo was taken outside Deurne on the bend of the road Kanaalweg [canal road] that runs near the railway line. You have to zoom in close to see the canal on the Google map. Dank u wel Jors for your help. on one of the photos that came with the other ones a bedford has a 62 number on it, [2nd Inf Bde / 3 infantry battalion ? Armd Rgt ? ] shame its not in colour. Deuren was liberated on 24 Sept 1944.
  21. Thanks for the info, i thought it was near Horst and the station is now a cafe? but it is off the main railway line. on the back of the photo it said " Derne - America road " See photo but Derne is in Germany. Photos are from my Collection.
  22. Does any one know where this station is in Europe. Holland? Germany? and i think there is a small town as well near the station.. 1st photo of the station, 2nd photo has on the back " road Crater blown by Germans at entrance to village of America"
  23. Any info on the 2 photos IDs. 1st photo i think is post war. 2nd photo is of a Matador used by the Germans, they put on John Bull and the Notek light. Original photos from my Collection.
