  1. Sue

    Bakelite

We still mould bakelite and equivalent grades of material, if you pm me what you want, I'm sure we can help. Sue
  2. And some of us can do it all on our very own! :nut:
  3. Yep, all of mine are used for the daily commute, this week I'm alternating between wmik and Dinkie  The only civvie thing I have is the Defender 50th and I can't remember the last time that came out :???
  4. Erm, well I took the 80" on the Saturday. I hope they had a better turn out on the Sunday  There were a few folks dressed the part and a grand total of 4 military vehicles. This pic is a bit deceptive as the classic car run only parked up for a picnic then disapeared again But at least I got to ride on the steam train!
  5. I'm going down this Saturday, but I don't have anything big enough for your playpen I'm taking my dinkie and will be in the military section, just look for the sand dune
  6. Yep, you're quite right, I've got GB19 in the fleet as well The wmiky thing started life as a GS 110 Wolf. Last year was spent aquiring and then the surprisingly easy task of fitting the kit and it is now very nearly a complete WMIK. So it doesn't have history as a WMIK, just another walt! Sue
  7. Hi Mark, it's my WMIK in the edge of the photo (so most likely me stood in the way of Martin taking a photo, sorry!) It was a better show than I was expecting, but I was dissapointed about driving down for half the museum to be closed. Lots of people wanting to talk about wmiky thing and there seemed to be a fair amount of interest from the few public that were around. Sue
  8. I found what sounds the same layer of 'pink' on top of the original coat of paint on my lightweight. It looked to me like a layer of primer before the IRR green. I certainly hope that's what it is as there is no way I'm driving a pink Landy!! :rotfl: Sue
  9. Hi Mark, excellent photo's & that would be my Dinkie :-D Sue
  10. Thanks guys
  11. Hi Tim, I nearly got it right!! I know what you mean, I didn't get chance to look at all the vehicles there as much as I'd liked to. And they were all lovely machines. As for my collection  erm I get one finished and get bored so get another project, but I have an issue when it comes to letting them go :-D Sue
  12. Hi guys, I was there too! Was in my 80" Landy... Nice pics Tim, thanks for sharing them, nice to see what the front of the convoy looked like :-D Was it you I got to chat to briefly just before we were allowed to leave? Loved your truck, was drooling over it most of the day!! Sue.
  13. I had a really good weekend, was in me Dinkie so the weather was spot on 8-). They let all of us in the SAS landy's play in the arena which was fun, the line up of 15 of us looked pretty impressive, although we didn't manage to get the figure 8 quite right :-D Sue
  14. Hi Mart, I only live 1/2 mile away from that junction, but as all my vehicles are post war I don't imagine that's any use! Sue
  15. Well this is my hobby, never mind any fella! I trundle all round the country just me n me dog! Sue.
