No gophers were hurt while crash testing this Humvee.

Ok, sounds a bit better after reading gas44's post.
The toilets near our pitch were very clean, thanks to the Gurkha's working there.
About leaving after the show.
We planned our holiday so we left on the Monday after the show, avoiding a mad rush on Sunday.
Guess that's not the case for everyone.

3d printing is very usefull.

I recently restored a MK3, 1944 dated.
Itnow has a rough finish in a greenish tint.

Three runs out today and all seemed ok. No sign of leaks around the head, no sizzling from inside the head, and the radiator level remained unchanged. The head was torqued down twice, with the nuts hardly moving the last time. It's back away in the garage again now, but things are looking hopeful for still attending the Crank Up on Sunday.
Hopefully it won't give any more problems.

Many thanks for this information modello. It is really interesting.
The sad news though is I just had to sell my vehicle. - I've been out of work for over 8 years, have had all applications for state assistance rejected and still had household bills to pay. So last weekend the very bitter decision had to be made to part with my vehicle. Now feeling absolutely gutted
Sorry to hear that mate.
You're overdue for some good luck.

Nice, looks like a big Jacuzzi.:red:
Kidding aside, impressive work.
A pity we probably won't see it in the metal...I mean flesh over here.

Love the command car!
Maybe because we drive one.

I should have been more specific when I asked to be picked up at home.

Watching a Discovery docu about Ozzie roadtrains in the outback I thought this vehicle would be way more suitable.
So why don'ty they use them?
Too expensive, difficult to maintain or what?
-
Why didn't Shermans use side screens like some of the German tanks did.
With the ever present panzerfaust and -schrek danger it would have given adequate protection.
Or were the tracks on the side basically the same thing but with added protection against anti tank grenades?
See here for German examples;

Those 3D models are amazing!!
-
Is there any evidence it actualy worked stopping a genade or Pantserfaust rocket which would otherwise have penetrated the armour?

The prize goes to Starfire! it's a play on words using the FN and and an old TV series called "The Fall Guy"
I've been using this handle for years on various forums. First time I've ever been asked about it.
I think I'll like it here!
Mike
I remeber that series, wasn't it with Lee Mayors?

WAR & PEACE SHOW 2016_ new website taking online entries
in War & Peace show.

At least 1 UN van had paid for the show (not a MVT member) and didn't have markings made from tape.
So is that a scam?
Not more than a Mahindra on a WW2 display, or a civilian Jeep in military colour.
