What's your idea of an idyllic beach holiday?

Only missing a scantily clad lady or 2...
-
Lots were converted post war for civvie use.
Don't know what to think about the beach buggy jeep though...

I bought a new straight fuell line and the seller hand bent it to match the Original as good as possible. It went in without much trouble.
Still, I probably stuffed it up If I tried to bend it so was glad the seller did it for me.

Because its not WW2 the amount possible buyers are lower.
Even though its better than a WW2 one, gearbox, 24 volts etc.
Thet are rarer than a WW2 but not as desired as a WW2 jeep. So I can't give a sensible figure although surely 10 grand should be a good guess.. as said it does have the rare factor and a recognisable WW2/postwar lineage/evolution.
A M38 was my first MV and loved it.

whats over the arch on the jeep towards the back ? to the right ,(single hoop up ) 1 two to its left has something too
Don't know what you mean.
Can you repost the pic with a Arrow pointing to what you mean?

Olaf - seems they were built by DAF for the Luftwaffe after the invasion of Holland - see link for info (part shown below):

Didn't know that, thanks for the pic.

Interesting, the DAF in one of the photo's was probably taken from the Dutch?

He had a stall at the latest W&PR for the promotion of the show's new season where he talked with fans. Bruce is a genuinely nice and friendly guy, very approachable and always interested in people. Ofcourse he has to act a bit sometimes on the show, but in general what you see is how he really is. The same goes for the Twins. I completely agree with Tim that they are extremely skilled mechanics that have perfectly restored a lot of hard projects. You see them in the show as they really are.
I don't know him personally but when we asked if we could go on a photo with him he said Yes right away.

I'm allways surprised how much info Clive finds/has.

Notice how the windscreen tube hits the bodytub on the corners.
-
Considering the similarity between the M201 and MB/GPW you could post in the US section I reccon.
-
Been to the museum a few years ago and loved it.
Luckily I had enough tiome to look around.
-
You must have had a lot of surprised looks from other motorists I'm sure.
-
Looks good, before you know it you'll be driving it under its own power.
-
The jeep looks quite good.
You could ask questions in the US vehicle section or in the"I maybe stupid but" section.
