  1. We braved the weather and a few cold nights in the back of the truck but we enjoyed it as the company was good. To be honest I did expect a little more of a turn out to this event and i was a little disappointed to see people leaving on the Saturday. Neil I hope we didn’t keep your lot awake Friday night , the alcoholic beverage factor was a little high. Your more than welcome to come over for a natter as is everyone on here. Time for cup of tea.
  2. Nine wolf 110s and a two wolf 90s in stansted next to our MJ.
  3. I would give it a go, no seriously I would. I bet the view from that height is awesome.
  4. Yesterday around 2.30 C47 flying over Hunstanton, flying south west and today the same c47 flying over Heacham heading north. Oh and a formation of tornados last Thursday.

  6. A line up of the real thing And before I get a snotty PM again about braking copyright laws by posting this image on the forum, no laws have been broken the photographs have been taken by myself and my brother. I think i have seen the replica snatch in question will have a look to see if i can find it.
  7. Any luck arm carp? Plenty of MJ photos to be found but none with the winter kit fitted.
  8. Would be most appreciated. Montie, just done a search for it and couldn’t find any with the winter kit. Will keep looking though.
  9. Afternoon all. Im currently looking for photographs of any in service Bedford MJs that have the full winter kit installed (blinds heater and snorkel), also any information on what units would of used them. Any intel would be most appreciated. Ollie
  10. Will be leaving Norfolk about 12 in the Bedford MJ tomorrow. You cant miss my large behind, will be in DPM with Palmer on the shirt so if you see us say hello may even Make ya a cupa tea. Ollie
  11. Talking of the blue turdis. What the hell posses people to bang and try and open the door when its clearly in use. Other irritating activities that left me somewhat speech less at times. Pinching all the loo rolls Wednesday morning, yes you were seen. Taking a dump on the seat and then wiping ones arse on the door. A trail of ****y toilet paper strewn out from the door trailing down the road. I do honestly wonder at times how someone’s total lack of personal hygiene is deemed acceptable. Another thing that was a little inconsiderate was people constantly leaving the water point taps on. Endex Ollie
  12. Now before I start I want to make it clear that I am making no accusations towards anyone. Myself, my brother and a good friend spent many hours trawling the trade stands at this years w&p. I found quit a few iffy items for sale by seemingly legit traders. The items in question as the title states, is the bowman radio that is currently in use by the HM forces. Odd bits like like antennas, Remote PTTs, PTT Switch Assembly’s and complete head sets. One trader even had a hard carry case with about four or five of the things. All working complete, and fully operational. Now being somewhat surprised and I know I was not the only one. Are these things being legally sold onto civi street or is it another big Caveat emptor. What’s your take on things? Ollie
  13. One pair of assault boots, new £10 One pair of the old style combat high leg boots, new £5 A few combat 95 shirts and trousers £4-£5 each A couple of the old jungle DPMs £1 each from the big box o **** A few jerry cans £2 each Some big cooking pots £3 each A nice set of ww2 USMC dress greens £20 Some SA80 bits about £15 A new sleeping bag that i didn’t sweat my bollox off in the hot nights one would endure at w&p £30 A gorges pair of ww2 USN aviator wings for a song So not a hugely expensive show this time, although I did have to look hard to find the real bargains. A few tips to those wishing to go for the first time. Don’t buy the first thing you see, i can guarantee you’ll find it on another stall a lot cheaper. Save some spending money for the Sunday as a lot of stuff comes down in price. And don’t forget that a lot of the MV displays also have bits and bobs for sale. Often at really good prices, i managed to pick up a few jerry cans at £2 a pop and a SA80 bayonet at a fiver. Another tip I picked up from a forum member was not to chuck the W&P map in the tent and forget about it. Take it with you to the stalls, if you see something that you like but want to see if its cheaper else ware. Put a dot with a pen on the stall location, that way you won’t spend god knows how long looking for it again.
  14. Nope you were not the only one, although not a sleep at the time. I thought it quit inconsiderate to those who were trying to get a bit of shut eye. :nono:
  15. I picked up one of these at a boot sale last year, the canvass unfortunately had seen better days. Any idea on how many of these were made? Oh and I can also recommend Vactan as well.
  16. Loggydriver if I had seen this thread before I visited Withams, I would of taken more photographs. I sat in the very same drops, and it was pretty clean and tidy compared to the others. Was a little funny to find an oat meal block behind the seat, god knows how long that’s been hiding. If I go back ill get a few photos. Ollie
  17. Jack, I must apologise I did not realise that was you in the bunker on Sunday morning until I see the back of your leather jacket. I was to busy chomping on a full breakfast. Will have to catch you at another event some time. It was good to meet up with some of the forum members, thank you for making us feel welcome. Ollie
  18. We should be down about five or six so will see you all down there. Lets just hope the rain holds off for us all. ttfn Ollie
  19. Here she is 27KF73, this was taken shortly after the winning bid at Withams and before the clean up. The front had received a bash to the nose also the bumper had a bit of a whack. Fortunately we were able to straighten her up to the best of our abilities, funds and time scale. It was certainly a learning curve and we have both enjoyed every minute of it. There are still a lot of things we would like to do i.e kit her out with a set of E-tools, and cam nets the usual display kit, oh and get a good set of DPMs but that will happen in time and when funds permit.
  20. Afternoon all, I may as well make this my first post on the forum, spent to long lurking haha. Hopfully myself and a good friend will be bringing down a Bedford MJ (winterised wader) for the weekend. Unfortunately we don’t have much to display as i usually do ww2 displays and its my friends first event as well. Ill get a photo up of the we beast so if you see us say Hi. Ollie
