Im hoping to be there next thurday! but as the Pig now hates me and kicks out smoke (white) and has no brakes! I may have to lowloader there and grovel for help!
I wish i knew what was wrong with it
the brakes are not an issue its the smoke that i cant fix! (ref: wanted section hmvf)

I would not even bring blanks on site mate.
saves hassle

What power bleeder will fit the Humber brake header/res?
As i didnt think any would come with a good fitting for the Pig?
-
Well i have replaced a wheel cylinder! as it has been ruined by some inferior bleed nipple i bought at a online brake place! shall not name them!
It has widened the thread and seeps fluid through the thread when bleeding!
so a culprit!
now i have to tackle the other wheel cylinder which im 90% sure is leaking into the wheel drum! so replace the cup in the cylinder and new shoes.
Then i shall test the lines with clamps and bleed if thats the case! i have from the 12-24th july off! ill get the Pig to WP if i have to machine the parts myself!!

From my days of Model making...
Dry brushing would work, just on a larger scale
Choose a shade a tat lighter or darker than your colour, dip in the brush to paint! then get a rag and wipe all the paint off till it does not stain the cloth anymore... then brush all over the area to be treated.. pigment will come off and make it look weathered... i have done to DE-ACT's before to stress them , and it works
black item and silver paint on brush works great!

As a plea! can anyone help with brakes and get me back on the the road?
I have to replace a wheel cylinder, bleed as well as hoses and get all good! and i have 2 days off in the week to do it?

Thanks Lee, a help as usual.
What is the cost of this insurance? and what company do i go to? footman james? etc?
I was asking why the Barmy army spot is " :shake:" do they have a bad rep? or are they just party animals etc?
Ill haveto get insurance then....
-
Is that an Issue? does my Pig not cover PLI?
what am i covering exactly? me? the people with me? etc?
are the barmy lot bad then? whats the score?
Also, how come you need PLI for Living history pitch, yet not for display?
Does not state this on the application?
How much would it cost?
-
who do I go to get PLI from?
Where was the kart track? is that a bad location?
-
Well its 5 camping and the rest are for day passes on the weekend.
i have only just sent the application off, I have called and i should be fine in the living history field, as they are expanding into more fields to accomodate! so we should be ok.
Does anyone know how they get things dug at WP? as you often see trenches etc? I know permission will be needed, but do WP have a digger?
As part our display requires digging a trench, and As much fun as it was in the forces, id rather use power!
-
Well im waiting for a call, but i might try and call them, if not its squeezing in with the Essex lot in the americas field;)
As Im sure the Underground Exploration team are welcomed with open arms :-D
-
I might have to stand corrected! But i was in the right ballpark.
So 1970-80 would be fine in DPM 68
75 would be the same cut as 68? just with the newer pattern camo?
-
That would be good! yeah i have had a load to sort! and indeed still have a load more to sort as well! but I shall be there for sure! No matter what happens! Even if its pay to get it there on a Lowloader! ill be there!
And we can chat over a beer about the shoot :-D

DPM 1968 pattern was worn up to the change to 80 pattern, which was early 80's. Although 68 pattern was very much prefered due to being lined and thicker.
The helmets, well Turtle helmet was worn again up to the 80's then the newer style battle bowler as we know it started to come through.
Regiments only wore helmets when commanded to.
Alot of pictures show a mix of 80 and 68 pattern DPM.
The turtle helmet was worn is most riot situations up to the 1980's from what i can see.
So if your looking 1970-80 you have the right stuff my friend.
But the newer helmets are different to the first issue as well as the covers are now 95/2000 pattern not 80 pattern.
Hope this helps, should have just called me my friend:)
Again 58 pattern webbing was worn, with a mix of the US alice as well, again worn to the plce change over mid 80's.
Worn in CEFO and CEMO depending the situation, alot just wore ammo and water bottle and poss haversack depening on the situations (riot etc_)

I'm liking this track, nicely written just by Kate herself, nice use of technology and production.
And quite apt lyrics
:-D
