  1. errm, well im not sure its a target reference

but i was a semi pro Rave dj, used to tour the uk playing at raves and club venues:)

used to pay very well. most i played to was over 600 in london, to give an idea you would play one hour and then go to the next venue, so could play about 3/4 a night, and i was getting from £80-200 for an hour set!

but at the time girlfriend did not like the lifestyle and i quit, now its so hard to get back to where i was , as once your dj name is forgotten you have to start from scratch!

standing about outside clubs/raves handing out CD demo's and hoping for a break..... oh well, was fun:)

  2. yes clive made it to do the big shopping runs, i told him was not a good idea, but the shopping bags fitted so well up there... hehe

what that is for is a canvas cover, originally used to keep the heat from the rear cab, it is slung over and held with the rows of loops welded on the sides.

this was not used in the northern ireland role , as was a fire hazard

    hope that helps:)

  3. i still have my boyish good looks:) but i think since i owned my first armoured vehicle at the age of 19, i may hold the record!

having the pig for the last 3 years has aged me i would say! but Clive, i still seem young? you cant be a day over 35? surely

  4. I was thinking of tanking the Pig to france just before Xmas, but have been told that they now take your vehicle from you and you wont get it back?

can anyone shed some light! im glad i have been told as a crying grown man in deippe would not be a pretty sight.

  5. i need to do my pig soon, was looking at sandblasting. but as i have to use the workshop at work and only have weekends, could be a messy job! and i would not be popular! thats for sure!

  6. i work for Renault uk, so we get alot of fuel mix, its one the main reasons i want one. As we pay to get the mix fuel taken away! i may even be able to twist the MD into paying me! haha

Im glad to hear that it simple to road register them, I heard alot of bad things when i wanted to reg my humber pig. About inspections and things from the DVLA. Even when i went to the office they said some one would be out to view and would cost me, a few days later i got all the Doc's and reg through the post.

I have not worked on Tracked vehicles yet so its a bit daunting, but have always wanted a tracked AFV. I have a full renault van workshop so im sure i can do most the stuff i need as well as 6 RTE (renault tech experts ) on call, one ex REME. I have a fair good mech knowledge as well. just the more help the better!

From what i hear the whole powerpack comes out in a cage anyhows, so work on the engine should be quite easy. Just the track is going to be new to work on, but they pull themselves on new tracks from what i have been told

  7. my family are from Sandy Row in belfast, there is very similar there with a very high UDA and UFF,UVF,LVF and well more... its a different world!

woth a trip to see the murals and the loyalist areas!

  8. hmm, well some times tank crew dpm overalls, some times civvys

but my friends mock if if i wear combat attire! but they are young!

i should wear my late fathers denison 72 para smock with 1 para insig, as well as jump boots and green fatigues!

would look great with his beret and the wings in my mark one pig!

  9. i also had the same prob with 30 bk 43 (mk 1 flying)

the tanks had gummed up with old fuel and the pipes had sealed shut!

i think i did an unorthadox fix, but it has worked! i removed the tank, and the sender unit and drain plug.

from there i rammed a karcher steam cleaner running parafin and water mix into all the places i could and blasted away! until tank and all pipes were clear!

now i know water and fuel and tanks aint a good idea! but i was stuck!.

well after this i over filled time and time again with clean parafin , then finally with fresh fuel and well. 18months later, both tanks run and no corrosion.

not the route some may take but it did work and i have had no probs since

"So look at the rear doors. Are they just in two pieces or is there a horizontal flap on the top with a thick vision block? If it has this fap it is a Mk 2. " quoted clive

i have 2 flaps as well as 2 flip down windows as well as 2 doors? hehe

what does this mean? is my pig special?

    paul
