  1. My master cylinder has been repair twice now, as it leaks at the end where the push rod goes in.

It finally gave up the ghost and when the pedel was down it would not return!

So alas i have replaced it, now it leaks from the filler at the top, where the header tank goes in, no big deal just needs cleaning and looking at.

But my brake pedal still does not return? am i stupid and when this is bled will work fine? is it just air in the system? or does it sound like my hydrovac is shot?

hmm, i like to ask before i carry on you see...

any ideas? i hate drums systems!

  4. ok, i need to know the logical solution with minmal effort

I have tried paint stripper, 5 coats and it just work, so would be very messy and expencive so I am ruling this out.

Heat gun, does not touch military paint

grinder, works but messy and scores metal

Sandblast, great but would cost me near the cost of the vehicle!

    what have you all done?

    I have a budget of about £200

And help of about 5 people?

access to power, will be done outside

  5. Hurray! for Jerry!

    BBQ paint looks the business!!

Painted one coat, and looked shiney and nasty! i was upset! then alas dries to a super hard and mat finish!!! great stuff!!!

ill post a pic when its dry!

  6. Ok i have a few and the finish varies, blue'ing, as i think its called.

I want to rub one down and refinish it again, what would be the best thing to use? rather than black paint?

Also, SLR stock (wood) what would the best varnish finish be for this?

    Help would be appreciated
