  1. Marines42, If you part with your turret let me know. I could use one.
  2. I can neither confirm nor deny my involvement in that incident.
  3. Some, but barring the typical catastrophic Russian tank turret toss, you can't really be sure (unless it's burnt through and through). 120mm might be hard to miss, but 25mm and 30mm fired by the Bradley and Hog are smaller and easily skipped... AFAIK the US is the only nation to use Depleted uranium slugs in cannons..
  4. One on the right looks a little lopsided. Robin, didn't you email me a few weeks ago about a fox scout car? Sent you an email back but didn't hear anything, maybe the filter got it...
  5. Russian engineering meets Western tanks... As an FYI, avoid the ones that have little 120mm holes in them. DU..
  6. CVRT something, first. Then maybe a BMD1/2/3 Or a T-55..or fv432
  7. Pre-stripped? you're an optimistic person! That's a good thing to have with this project.
  8. Looks very nice so far. Amazing that you are restoring what some would consider scrap metal.
  9. Fascinating, but I'd hate to think of what could go wrong... Link to the documentary? I'm guessing they used a lot of CGI and computers, since the rest of the area is very non-Afghanish, they're focusing on the one 'act' per work and then editing it in to a CGI scenery/afghan photography. Although the Saracen made me laugh...I don't think it would last that long in Afghan hands!
  10. Got this from ARFCOM, here you go. M60a1 MBT abandoned (Sort of) behind a NAPA auto store in Ruston, LA.
  11. Seeing the dude with RPGs IS fairly real and terrifying. Double tap..
  12. Now..who is selling a pig in the US? Thanks for the replies all. I found the technical info very informative and helpful. The manufacturing pictures are super cool, BTW, whoever has all those saved should be crowned King of the forums for a month.
  13. Yep, except with very much upgraded brakes and power steering so turning/stops aren't as much of an issue. That's the answer I was looking for. Anything else?
  14. Yep. They're selling off some of theirs now and replacing them with other vehicles like the Bearcat. I'm looking to score a pig, hence my asking.
  15. No way :-D ! Perhaps the Pig is made of skyscraper gauge steel....
  16. When I was on the border a few months ago I remember hearing a very distinctive daimler transmission whine along with a mariachi band playing and the smell of burritos floating to my nostrils. Might possibly be true, who knows....
  17. How does a 1 ton truck that has several tons of armor on it even manage to move? Seems to me several tons of armor+8 dismounts/gear would be enough to snap the frame in half. I take it then that the humber is made of sterner stuff then I'm aware of...
  18. While driving along the ROK-North Korean DMZ a NK DSHK (12.7mm, same cal as the .50, but more powerful) opened up on a Sheridan airborne vehicle and tore it up. Only the speed got them out with no casualties but a holey vehicle.
  19. How much are t-55s from poland going for?
  20. Marines42.. Where are you located? Semper FI Devil.
  21. Now that I see a normal (Normal=5'10"-6 foot) human next to a fox I can finnaly see how small they are. A fox without a turret...only about 10,000 pounds or so? Getty up lil dawwgy. VW German dude: "British Engineeering in da haus ya!"
  22. Yeah...sank in a polish bog, plus some extensive battle damage that destroyed the original turret.
  23. Probably taste great along with some fine English beverages. I've always wanted to call in an artillery or mortar strike on a herd of pigs..
