The registration letters relate to the year the order was placed, not necessarily built.

Tim,
I had a bag of them but they are all gone except the one I have yet to put on my scimitar. If I remember I'll measure it for you before I put it on. You should be able to make one from some webbing.

I don't have any of the older CES documents here, but I believe it was called a Beresford Funnel or something like that? Clive you're the expert on military sanitation.. am I right?

It is a piece of CES....

Hi Guy,
I've had 3 Sabres, 2 Spartans, a Scimitar, Sultan and a Sturgeon. Other than the Sultan which was ex-Belgian army all the others were/are fitted with the central warning system light pod and were purchased direct from the MoD between 2004 and 2014.
If the lights were removed in 1983 they were definitely put back on!

The central warning system light pod was not removed and is still fitted to vehicles in service now.

Is it not a 3/4 tonne trailer?
-
Always worth checking that the fuel bag is not rippled and is laying nice and flat near the pick up pipe. Have had to remove a fuel bag before for just that problem.
No fuel bag in a Samson! (Or Spartan, striker, sultan, Samaritan)

Would RSL87Y be ok to use?
Those are for the V8 in the 101.

Nicky,
The new plugs you have look like RSN13P, these are for vehicles with B series engines, Ferret, Champ etc. You need RSN12Y or equivalent.
-
Sandy,
They are still used on 'A' vehicles - our Spartan came out of service a little over 12 months ago fitted with them inside.

Robin,
I know Marcus Glenn was selling those brackets with the red tab on the end a few years ago. Never seen them fitted to a vehicle though as released from the mod, and we've had a fair few now.

Get yourself a manual and copy the dimensions and weights. I've done several and only ever supply the basic information.

I think this has to be a fuel issue. Try running from a clean Jerry can, if no good try a new fuel pump. Double check that air isn't getting in at any joints in the fuel pipes too.

I have used the same trick Richard suggests before too and it does work.

No gauge, but the book has dimensions
-
Robin,
You can maybe try turning them round by one spline? I'll email you some instructions.

I may be wrong, but I think that's no comms trailer! It's an RB44 comms body on a wide track trailer!
There are 'proper' communications trailers around, many of which were converted to aircraft battle damage repair trailers. I had 2 of them!

There isn't exactly much choice in the way of clubs. Join the MVT, it's the biggest and gives the most benefits.
CVRT Dipsticks
in Tracked vehicles

Guy,
All the petrol gearboxes have the dipstick which goes through the bulkhead. Diesel gearboxes have a smaller dipstick which is held in place with a clip and doesn't go through the bulkhead. Is there not a piece of hose connecting the 2 metal tubes?
