  1. Ok, I'll drop them off to have them engraved tomorrow, and I'll send you a message. Cheers, Lex
  2. Ah, that must have been over 20 years ago, unfortunately, we didn't know as much, as we do now!! I had pumps reproduced 10 years ago, but the price was very high, so when WB UK started making them, they were cheaper, with the bits all CNCed, so bought them there, but still 100 quid, but they look and work very good. Cheers, Lex
  3. Dick Petman RIP, but he only ever had the tanks made, nothing else. Welbike UK is the best option, or I might have a rusted original, that, I can give to you, but it's not usable. Cheers, Lex
  4. A french speaking member here will contact you about it, I will give him my original to copy tomorrow. Do you also need a contract plate? I am having some made. Cheers, Lex
  5. Suspenders "and a bra??" anyway didn't want to spoil your day, but I noticed your Welbike pump is one from a stove, should be steel with brass handle. Sorry, Lex
  6. I have some more info for you Ron!! but i'll save it for the beginning of October, I hope to come over for the London to Brighton run! Cheers, Lex
  7. Ok, I am also missing one, I can have 2 made, but will not be cheap. Lex
  8. Simon, I see you are missing 2 parts? these spacers behind the bottom frame bolt. I can measure them if you want. Cheers, Lex
  9. Nice! I'm just working on two of them in Holland. Lex
  10. Nice work Steve, but a couple of comments, I think the MT210 should be KG No.3. The water deflector needs a bit of trimming on the underside, or it will cut your wiring, or interfere with the carb or something, see picture. The raised hole for the switch, I made one once with just two steel rings of the right diameter, popped in the vice, with some sheet metal inbetween, and presto! then weld carefully in the dash hole, you might want to enlarge that a bit, makes it easier. Keep on the good work, Lex
  11. Nice work Steve! good to see some of my parts being repaired and on a bike again!, So what's next?? Cheers, Lex
  12. Here's the old versus "new" oil nomenclature, to comply with US vehicles in service in the British Army. Not much use with the C600, sorry! Lex
  13. Nicely done Steve! they were cad plated originally, and there is a cheesehead screw to keep it tight, not the best idea, but that's what they used. Lex
  14. Good work! but I had hoped to never see that clamp again! you will find it's completely bodged, and needs welding and machining, I had it in the US, and no Idea where it went after I found some NOS clamps. Cheers, Lex
  15. Ok, yes, it could have been a lot better, but that is with most 1:6th scale models! Michel has no parts left for these, wheelbarrow tyres in 6.00 x 6 can be bought very cheap! but the best are the original thread ones that have been made in limited production quantity, and will not be made again in the future, I have helped with this project, and sent the company an original front tyre, that needed to be cut in half, but it was worth it, and they are absolutely spot on! A book is in the making, in the US, it will be very good!! Cheers, Lex
  16. BC 312, message sent! MatchFuze, there is a 1:6th scale model too, but was never able to find one, see pictures. Tried the toymodels link, but doesn't work for me! on this one the tyres are clearly too small. Cheers, Lex
  17. You can call this Frenchman, he was selling these replica frames some years ago, many things wrong, but from 15 meter it was OK. Cheers, Lex
  18. Well, scale models as you might know or not, are very altered in their proportions, this is done, as if you would exactly scale down the sizes, it just would look wrong, so that's a no-go. and then the scale is way too small. There is one in the Duxford IWM, but museums are all understaffed and there's not that many people that can take accurate measurements, or can read vernier, or even digital calipers. Most people that own a real one are not very happy with supplying measurements, for the following reasons, it takes days and days to do it accurately, unless you have basic drawings, that only certain measurements need to be filled in, if I need measurements from someone, that are a bit more complicated, I send them a sketch, with clear instructions what, and from where to where to measure, usually that helps, but I never have had the need for very complicated drawings of parts. Second point is, that owners are afraid of that their bike will go down in value, if many copies will be made, I had a young chap here years ago, measure up my Welbike, gave him food and drinks, was there for a week every day, and then after a couple of years, 20 replica's were made, and then fast forward to last year, some were sold as originals!! I can clearly see the differences but the average guy doesn't, and gets duped in the process, this happens more and more, with expensive stuff, and I have made some people very unhappy, with telling them they bought a replica. My two cents, Lex Below the Cush in Duxford, someone did some hefty modifications to it!
  19. The original manuals are rarer that the Cushman itself! and fetch insane prices! Luckily I found mine for a little less. Cheers, Lex
  20. So now it's 2019, and I still haven't finished the Dozer! Had to wait for the proper rubber hose for the hydraulics, and that came in recently, together with the cold weather, so it will take some time, before I fit anything, did get the scraper plate wear pieces painted and trial fitted, just need some bolts shortening, and a weld ground down, then I can fit them properly, but all holes line up nicely. Then the hose stuff, I did not want to go with the modern hoses, I had over the years collected everything to make the original stuff work, exept one set of compression couplings, and I did buy a whole wreck for that!! It does have nice tracks though, so I will keep those! Here some more stuff how the couplings work. The make of the couplings is Eastwood but have not been able to find any parts on the loose anywhere, was difficult to get the brass compression "tubes" off the old hoses, but did manage. So this is all ready to assemble now, but have to figure out the lenght of the hoses used. More later, Lex
  21. There are some plans/drawings for Airborne Cushmans. join the FB group, they are quite active, but there is one guy who has copies of factory drawings, but he's not going to share them. below some basic sizes. Cheers, Lex PS, you have more chance if you post this in the Motorcycle section.
  22. Wow Steve, that is an intersting find! I have 2 Pack Howitzers, used by the Light Regiment in Arnhem, if you ever want to trade for another drivers handbook, let me know, will pay extra cash, or with parts!
  23. Looking good Steve! I have found some one piece oil lines in the past, but the parts lists all mention a rubber piece, so not sure what happened there. Cheers, Lex
  24. Ok, sorry, that I don't have, or know the dimensions. Lex
  25. I just posted this in the trailers section, but it's WW2 I think, no dataplate at all. Cheers, Lex
