  1. I think the top one is a Marder 3. It is using a 38t running gear (which might be post war, but the same pattern), mated to a genuine Pak40 and genuine Marder 3 armour plate that was recovered from Russia. Looks very nice. The STUG is genuine, ex Africa Korps, captured in N Africa sent to the UK for testing and eventually ending up on a range before going to Wheatcroft collection. Swapped for A schimwagen and then restored but fitted with a 432 drive train. A super machine.
  2. Ah yes, this one: The question arose (several times) why? Some prices were really silly. The unrestored Jeep with a body full of holes for £18,000. Didn't take a photo of it. £30K for a Snatch! Price bubble burst - not yet perhaps?
  3. Last lot from me: Never seen so many Mules together:
  4. I am sure I saw this one for sale at Westernhangar a couple of years ago. But it had an engine in it then: Super looking Snatch on Withams stall. On sale at £15K reduced from £30K A Unic. I didn't see this until it was covered over, but looked very interesting. Not seen this trailer before, but it had a dismountable box so I imagine it was an ammunition trailer for the Flak 30 or Flak 38?
  5. This was interesting. A Meteor engine with German marked piston:
  6. Lots and lots of US Half tracks this year. Lots of Springers too:
  7. For those that couldn't make it I thought I would start a new thread of what caught my eye there: I will add to this as I upload the photos.
  8. If you upload straight from your picture folder doesn't that cause an extra cost for HMVF?
  9. We were invited by the Armed Forces benevolent Fund to provide some MV's for the Band of the Royal Scots Guards playing at a local fund raising event. The house was rather nice with a super view: We had a good turnout of MV's Famous guest: Evenings entertainment:
  10. OK.It took me a while but I have Imgur sorted. First thoughts are that it is better than Photobucket. We will see.
  11. It was brought to my attention that some of the photos shown in the Dennis restoration have disappeared. We get a message saying please update your account to enable third party hosting as can be seen here: http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?429-WW1-Dennis-truck-find/page124 It is required that an annual payment of $399 is made to pay for this. I have done some more research and found this: "Photobucket is cracking down on people embedding on third-party websites images it hosts, until now, for free. The photo-slinging internet elder now says that anyone who wants to use its service to display photos it hosts on other pages – such as signature banners in forum posts – will now need to open up their wallets and plop down $399.99 a year for a subscription plan. The new policy will be particularly annoying to longtime users who have relied on Photobucket's 14-year-old service to host the images they use to place images on forums or in blog posts. Cheaper plans, including the free account option, will no longer have an option to allow third-party hosting. The alert netizens now get from Photobucket for inlining images on third-party sites The change of heart was quietly introduced by Photobucket earlier this week as an update to its terms of service. On the one hand, it's reasonable for Photobucket to ask for some help in footing its bandwidth bills for serving up images for folks on other websites; on the other hand, it will break a lot of graphics posted on the 'net and inlined in forums and blogs. "Photobucket defines 3rd-party hosting as the action of embedding an image or photo onto another website," the updated T&Cs read. "For example, using the <img> tag to embed or display a JPEG image from your Photobucket account on another website such as a forum, Etsy, eBay auction listings, a blog, etc, is definitively 3rd-party hosting." " Strangely it has affected Dads photobucket but not mine yet. It will be a real shame if all the photos that I have uploaded on our restorations are going to disappear. Has anybody else come across this and is my understanding of this correct? Having done a Google search there does appear to be a lot of discussion on the subject so it appears that unless I pay the $399 annual fee all the photos will now go. A shame. I am feeling really quite annoyed, verging on miffed. Thanks Tim
  12. Well worth watching. The first clip is rather long but has lots of interesting bits in it. Latil, Renault, Saurer, Peugeot. Nice to see them being taken out for such a big day.
  13. That is WD Thorny. With civilian ones that takes us up to about 15 in this country.
  14. That's looking nice. Great to have another restored WD Thorny. With ours that will make four?
  15. It looked rather nice albeit in the somewhat striking camouflage pattern that didn't come in until the war was almost over. I see that it has a winch under the body which is not common. I think the owner "Cat" supplied Rowley and Colin with the ammunition body's on their Quads. There was a photo on the wall of another restored early lorry but couldn't see what it was. I think that Cat also owned a WW1 German lorry which is unrestored.
  16. It has been nearly a year since the last posting. How is the restoration coming along? On a slightly different matter, with in the boxes of bits were there any RAF Leyland parts? Thanks Tim
  17. So it is. I couldn't work out what it was. Quite a few oddities in the line up. A shame as it is a super model.
