sister drove from Newcastle under lyme upto Blackpool last night ,said it was free moving and not bad at all!......

"Think it is the same everywhere in our part of the world . Had to go out this morning and the main roads are pretty much clear now but as soon as you turn off into any side road it is solid ice from one pavement to the other" i agree been hell on the side roads round here.
