  6. This very rare 1943 FWD was making its first show appearance at the GD steam fair, only 800 examples were built and supplied under lend lease for British and Canadian forces, hence RHD, this truck was bought in auction in 1947 by a West country sawmills and was used for timber hauling and winching till the 1960's, it lay derelect untill 10 years ago and has been restored by members of same family who bought it in '47, they also have three forward control SU-COE FWD's and are restoring one. The serial number on the bonnet is its original wartime number,

  18. Yes, a great w/e, thanks again to the organisers, Catweazle was there to relax following a disaster with one of his boats Cat diesels, and lo Champ decided to play up...nothing serious, leaking exhaust manifold. I opted for the easier, and cheaper on fuel option and towed the Jeep there
  19. This ex Swiss Army one was at the E. Mids Evesham event, still petrol powered, the vertical pipe is raised air intake to overcome fuel vapourising problems
  20. I've had same email for my tent too !
  21. Just as well the brakes failed whilst testing, imagine the damage and mayhem you'd have caused first time you needed to stop in a real emergency, you could have been held liable too if the rest of the pipes were found to be in poor condition, it just shows how important it is to throughly inspect the braking system,
  22. Going to MVT Evesham event this w/e, giving Dunsfold airshow a miss, just hope the organisation is sorted this year after the shambles of last year, left early and called in at the nearby Rudgwick steam rally, worth a visit
