Unleaded Fuel In Pig

poppypiesdad

Question

Hi all just had my dad up to look at the pig he's ex RASC and he brought up a point .

Do i need to add one of the lead substitutes to the unleaded fuel in the tank

like these sort of things

or is just straight unleaded in the tank ?

And why do you need to in old cars ? valve ware? pistons ?

Jamie,

I believe that Rolls Royce issued an update to say the B60 is OK on unleaded, however (and I can hear those "snake oil" shouts right now)...

I dropped one of those fuel catalysts (the metal pebbles in a wire bag) into my Ferret fuel tank, and it appears to be running a hell of a lot smoother.

I want to do a few tank refills before I am 100% sure, but initial impressions are good.

Mick
