david052
Looks to be the pouch for the antenna sections that clips to the side of an A41 manpack. My first introduction to platoon comms! Cheers!
gazzaw
Yep, antenna bag/side pouch off of the murphy carrier used to carry the A41 (Larkspur) radio. The other bags that go with it include the radio bag and the spare battery bag, which was a square one that lay flat below the radio and jutted out the back. info here, the A13 used same backpack with different layout- there is a photo of one with the antenna case to the right www.wftw.nl/larkspur/larkspur1.html also here is an image of soldier with carrier http://www.armyradio.com/arsc/skin1/images/soldier1.jpg Gary
sirhc
Does it say 1965 or 1985?
gazzaw
Does it say 1965 or 1985? looks like 65 which would be correct with the 58 pattern buckle/closure as clansman was in by 85 with a totally different carrying frame etc. Gary
lightweight
I have the entire pack at home, metal frame, battery pouch - the works! Nasty, horribly uncomfortable thing it is too!
