42 chevy
I am getting ready to remove my cab, and I read the TM on the procedure to removed the horn button (so that I can remove the steering wheel). the TM states" turn the button so that it unlocks from the tabs" well gents, I tried and it did not work. Any suggestions/help is appreciated. John Gott
Jim Clark
Hi John, thats correct you just turn the horn button left or right, it does not matter which, about 30 deg and it will come out.Having said that they are sods to turn as one of the three locating lugs has little ears on to stop it turning by it self and coming off.You have to push it past these to release the button. If you need any more info I can send some pics of a NOS horn button kit I have with all the bits in. Jim.
