Great War truck
You may remember the last WW2 surviving British Aircraft carrier coming up for sale on E Bay a few years ago. As you might have guessed it did not sell. Here is what happened to it. Hankies at the ready chaps, it is pretty awful and gruesome. Sisu
Unbelievable how simple tools the Indies are using cutting those ships apart - it makes me feel sick seeing the status of the ship now.. Would be interesting to know, how much the owner of the operations earns per ship. I never saw the auction, how much were they expection to get from the ship? Great War truck
Starting bid was i think £6,000,000. In truly ministry of defence way (albeit Brazilian), just before it was sold it was completely refitted which cost in excess of £6,000,000. I really felt sick when i heard it was to be scrapped. Stormin
You can still buy bits from it. http://www.trinitymarine.co.uk/viewproducts.phtml?category_id=8140076013ee489dbfc6aaa54fa942ae Wonder how much was made from all the artefacts of interest on board? Sisu
The sum of parts seems to be more expensive than the whole ship was.
