Degsy Posted August 31, 2008 Share Posted August 31, 2008 Just returned from a weekend at the Welsh Highland Railway at Porthmadog, whilst there met a guy who is trying ro trace the present owner of a Diamond T recovery reg no TFF 227. This vehicle was fitted with a Cummins diesel (model unknown) and was at Penrhyndeudraeth near Porthmadog for many years but was disposed of after the owner. The gentleman who is looking for info is the son of the previous owner and would love to see the truck again, he may also have info of interest to the present owner. M.Rimmer Posted September 9, 2008 Share Posted September 9, 2008 Hi Les, Last time I saw it there was no name,it was still in it's Norwegian OD and was missing the wrecker body. I spoke to the previous owner several years ago,He bought the truck direct release from Norway and removed and sold the original engine and wrecker body,he told me he wanted to turn it into a tractor unit as He drove these during the war.
