The first show casualty of the LEZ has formally been announced.

The London International Classic Car Show held every year at Alexander palace has been cancelled as of 2009 due to the new Low Emission Zone (LEZ) according to event organizer Andrew Greenwood.

As of October 2010 vehicles over 1,500Kg unladen weight will have to pay £100/day to enter the LEZ unless they have been modified to comply with the new emissions regulations.

The organizer said "The autojumble stall holders and exhibitors are not going to pay to have their vehicles modified for two or three shows per year. Nor will they pay £100/day"

How long before it starts hitting the MV shows........
