antarmike
On the 10th June 1940, Italy, allied to Germany since the Berlin-Rome axis of 1936, declares war on Great Brtitain. The following day 36 Armstrong Whitworth Whitleys raid the Fiat works at Turin. The same day sees Italy make the first strikes against Malta, whose only defence at the time is just 4 Gloster Gladiator Bi-planes. In North Africa the RAF launches 2 seperate raids against the Italian airfield at El Adem., Lybia. All 18 Italian aircraft at the field are destroyed on the ground. A European war is turning into a World War.. Edited June 13, 2008 by antarmike
