Is it MoD or civilian? it could be RAF as my uncle was in service from about 36 to 1953 and was involved in ground crew work. It is quite heavy - almost 1kg! and is extremely well made. 10.5" long x 1.5" diameter. Marked "O.S. 6252🔝(without the TOP!!) Please keep clean and use only specified oil".
