peterjankers
My father was posted to 15th Recce Regiment 28 Feb 46. The regiment was dispersed 1 Apr 46. His record says 27 Apr 46 posted to Y.LIST/7(A). He was released to Army Reserve 14 Jul 46. Does anyone know what Y.LIST/7(A) means

Pete Ashby
The Y listing in service records was used to denote a stay in hospital of greater than 21 days, the man would then on discharge from the medical facility be posted to a holding unit. In other words a pool depot with no guarantee of return to original unit. Pete
peterjankers
Thanks Pete, but I am practically certain he was never hospitalised. I need to find out what the 7(A) on the end stands for.
