Kenham
Hello, can anyone tell me what vehicle used 900x22 tyres. I have two brand new Dunlop trak grip 900x22 tyres but I have no idea what vehicle would of used them. I have never seen a split rim 22inch wheel as far as I can remember. rustexpert
9.00x22 is a size I would associate with old agricultural machinery. Still unusual though.
N.O.S.
22" were a common commercial size at one time - for example several U.S. wartime trucks and the odd semitrailer used 10.00 x 20. Not come across 9.00 though, as these are branded Dunlop they would be for UK use - probably a commercial vehicle. In fact, here you go, tight under our noses!! http://hmvf.co.uk/forumvb/showthread.php?50721-900-x-22-tyres
Richard Farrant
9.00-22 Cross Country tyres (eg Trakgrip) were list in WD Vocab, 10 ply rating for 5 or 6 inch rims. The 10.50 or 11.00 ones were for certain White and Mack military vehicles used by British.
David Herbert
I can't find anywhere to look it up but I think AEC R6T (the pre war gun tractor and breakdown 6 x 6) was on 9.00 x 22s. David

David David, you are correct, it is shown in Bart's pre-war directory. Richard

Kenham
Thank you all for your replies , very interesting. The only thing I found that used them was a Humber Hexanaut, I thought there must be something else. Not sure what to do with them yet as I could use them if I had wheels , I suppose that's why they have never been used as nobody else has wheels.
