Andy
Hi all, I'm currently restoring my1954 Caterpillar D4 7J and have found its original markings on the back of the fuel tank. Can anyone out there tell me what they are?? There is also this data plate on it?
Great War truck
Not original I would say. Post war Dutch I would think.
Andy
Yes I understand the markings are post war, the Caterpillar wasn't built till 1954. I think you are correct with Dutch army, does anyone have any further info? Cheers
Alex van de Wetering
KN-14-43 looks like a Dutch Licence plate. 502 Genie Herstel Compagnie (Repair/Maintenance of Engineers equipmen) seems to have been based in Alphen aan de Rijn. Have you found any other remains of markings?....I think I see a "C" above the "N" (?)
