Had the great fortune to be offered a chance to visit this week.

My kind of "museum", where you can (within reason!) climb all over the exhibits.

Firstly the armoury.

What a collection! :shocked:

Some virtually unique pieces, ranging from Brown Bess to modern small arms.

We had a show around & a talk on some of their interesting bits by a true British eccentric who works there. Good job there weren't any French in our party, he takes great pleasure in pointing out that they're Britain's historic foe and haven't won a battle since 1815.;)

The "large items". I didn't take photos of everything and I'm too old & fat to be a tankie! (Virtually too tall at 5'7" to be a Russian tankie anyway!)
