Yes you can take the gearbox out ok, remove the seats and cab floor, its then fairly straight forward, the engine is supported by the flywheel housing, the gearbox is attached to it by four bolts, remove propshaft, winch pto unit, etc then lower the gearbox out underneath, when putting it back engage the clutch release bearing onto the clutch fork pins

I've finally got round to having a good look at it before attempting to remove. From underneath on mine the hand brake assembly is only an inch or so from the cross member. Still it looks like only a few bolts to remove it.

Yes, undo the crossmember bolts and slide it bacwards as far as it will go.This gives you enough room to pull the gearbox. Last time I changed a gearbox on mine it was done in three hours from start to finish. cheers from Bjørn.
