Scotch Harry
Anybody please got any ideas on this, was told it could POSSIBLY be some form of POW shirt. Faint broad arrow ink stamping but cannot make it out 100%. Thanks
wdbikemad
It's Indian-made on account of the markings and buttons, though definitely WW2.......years ago there were a few of these around, plus trousers too....... Theories are that they were either work clothing or for POW's, but on account of the black-inset patch I would be inclined to go for the latter...... Scotch Harry
I thought Indian straight away due to the ink stamp and have been told this off a different forum-- ww2 Italian prisoners of war , black diamond signified a supporter of musilini and therefore a political prisoner, ordinary Italian prisioners in belfast wore grey shirts but political ones wore the diamond on the back
