just finished filming with an australian crew on the lancaster i found three years ago in france, it centres on navigator ron conley who was part of the crew of eight that went missing on the morning of june 6th 1944, the programme is called 60 minutes australia, and the mystery continues, hope of interest, tony g.

Hi Tony, Just watched the film, very moving. Thank you for helping these families gain some closure to an event so obviously dear to them. Hopefully one day their graves will be identified and properly marked. Best Wishes, David

A moving story of the loss of 739. As I recollect my father telling me, increasing numbers but not all Lancs were H2S fitted from this period. An Australian, he flew with XV Sqdn. I checked his log book and his first mission was June 12th, 1944. He spent the 19th, 20th and the 23rd June in the air on H2S training for 5 hours or so. Regards Robert
