Jimmy F
Just been poking around underneath the C8 and found wooden spacers between the bed and the chassis. Being brand spanking new to military vehicles I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing... To make it worse, there are only three. The fourth corner is bolted straight to the chassis. Hoseman
Not a problem with that mate. havent experience with military vehicles but I work on large tipper wagons that normally hold 40 tonnes plus, and they have wooden packers between their chassis and back! A liot of the recovery wagons do too with the tilt back (tilt n slide!)
Jimmy F
That's a relief! The wood is all in a good condition too.
arcot1751
My Chevy G506 has them as well, nothing to worry about as the previous answer stated it's common practice on commercials. :-)
thedawnpatrol
No Not a problem Mate, as said, many vehicles have timber packers or sometimes thick rubber packers, the main thing is that it is bolted securely. woulde be nice to see a full picture of the C8 cheers Jules
