Just to tell you a bit about myself and my mutual interests with you all, Matron tells me that in about 1968 I joined the TA Royal signals based in Hereford, spending most of the time recovering from hang overs:nut: and line laying, and soon transferring to The Royal monmouthshire Royal Engineers Militia. Mostly bridge building. we had a ferret and a BSA motor bike attached to us and as I was the only sapper with a bike licence I became the dispatch rider as and when needed. The ferret was not very well maintained and was about as reliable as me getting up in the morning. In the late 70's I bought a old Austin Champ which I restored and then had to sell. Interestingly when I rubbed the paintwork down it had all the insignia on it including a red bumper. I thought at the time that it may have been bomb squad or MP?

Any way since the I gained a Ham A licence and have got several green radios, R209, R210, and a Clansman 321.

Matron tells me that I have exerted myself enough for today so I will catch you all again soon. Rad. (G0CGI)
