Pavy8 Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) Stumbled upon this whilst looking at armoured land rovers on google images. British South African Police. Hardly looks like a land rover anymore cept for the grill, which looks like an early series II. Not much info is supplied other than apperently they were called a moon buggy (wonder why?? :-P). "Armoured Land Rover at Tods Hotel" http://www.bsap.org/bsapgallery/main.php?g2_itemId=3879 There was a few pics of different one in a gallery elsewhere on the site. sameearly series II grill but a slightly different body, called a 'Rhinomine resistant vehicle'. I wonder if these were modified as part of a small series (well 2 different series) or if they were all field mods by individual groups. I also wonder what "Tods Hotel" was. I've been in somewhat of an armoured Land Rover kick lately and am looking for information on older variations. especially small series modification and low production examples from the odd corners of the world.
