ford 369
I was talking about fort spitbank to my father the other day and was wondering about a visit, there are several alternatives one being a boat trip from Portsmouth including sunday lunch on the fort but to me the more attractive option was an organised group visit which is likely to be more enlightening.I dont know the size of group required or have any ideas of costs etc but wondered if any other forum members were interested in a visit later in the year?.Let me know if you are interested and when I have some ideas of numbers I will make some enquiries,if there is enough time on the day of the visit then maybe a visit to fort Nelson could be included cheers Nigel
berna2vm
Is this the one used in the BBC "Doctor Who and the Sea Devils" TV programme?
andym
I've been on several visits in the past, but they now seem to be turning it into a holiday destination: http://www.amazingretreats.com/venues/spitbank-fort/ And it's No Man's Land Fort in Doctor Who! :-) Andy
rosie
I have a feeling there was only one spitbank open to public and this was sold to a private individual a couple of years ago meaning that none are open to public now. I may be wrong though! If you do manage to organise a trip then please count the cubes in please --- - Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
