BritishHelmets
Guys, this is what I believe to be an original WW1 (possibly Officers private purchase?) Brodie. The liner is intact and modified (hence the private purchase), it has a red oblong stamp inside the liner and split pin rivet attachments for the chinstrap rings. Sadly it lacks a chinstrap. There is no rust on it. What do you think guys? Sadly I think I am going to have to sell it soon so though I would share it with you and get your opinions before it goes! REME 245
The pad may have been added by the user as the rest looks standard.

ashley
looks like a nice helmet  ...................but be warned i was once told by a collector that British helmets of this era were padded out with a material which we know to day as asbestos so watch out for any crumbly dust like particles.
