Well, I am gradually amassing a wide range of info on the Ambulance!!
Latest nugget of information comes in the form of a copy of the B-Vehicle data card, courtesy of the helpful chaps at Deepcut Barracks.
As usual, a vast array of acronyms abound! Having worked in the Nuc Industry all my life I'm used to a staggering variance of technical terms/abbreviations, but some of these take the biscuit!!
74 - CVD Hilton (?)
79 - HQ E Division (easy one!)
79 - 1 RRF - No ADP Action (?)
79 - 3 RAVP CV HQ RCT (?????)
80 - OSU Thetford (Ordinance Supply Unit perhaps?)
88 - TMP Thetford (UIN name change I think)
96 - TMP Longmoor
98 - TMP Thatcham
98 - Demobbed through MVS
Looking at this info, it seems to have had a pretty sedentary life shunted between Transport Motor Pools (which I pretty much expected)
Can anyone shed light on the more bizarre abbreviations?
