Joris. The biggest difference is that a Jimmy is a man's vehicle. Ouch Jack, you certainly know how to hurt a girl  the fuel used in contaminated, when people with jimmy's put diesel in petrol etc. it costs the recovery people £65 to get rid of, I pick it up for nothing, if it is too much petrol then put some white diesel in or some clean oil, providing the fuel is clean then it's ok AND FREE

Well it had to be done, no tax, no mot (I will though) free fuel as it is muti-fuel engine, and its cheaper to insure than my jeep, and I believe it's the next one from your's Jack, correct me if I'm wrong

    Reo's

Hi all As I have not finished the jeep yet I got bored going to shows with my little blue van, so just before the W&P show I bought a 1958 Reo, a nice little truck to run about in. Jack be obliged if on the tiltle of American vehicles we could have the name Reo as well :-D
  10. As per the show rules "There are no vehicle movements between 9am and 6pm unless going to or from the show arena for a display" or words to that effect, the reason why people on bikes/quads were going around between these times, is because they had a sticker on they were under the impression that this allowed them to ride at anytime and this was not challenged. Maybe Karoshi has an idea, HMVF could put forward a few people to help marshall a certain area under his supervision and then we could see at first hand how hard it is to carry out this job.
  11. totally agree with all of the above and the latter idea is a cracking one, I would charge a small entrance fee to help cover costs...... Nice one Rambo. Yes but then you would have all the locals complaining more, as it is they want the show shut down due to the noise at night etc. You want to see the local papers at this time of year
  12. jack is spot on offer up some solutions Or become an official and help out
  13. Did not hear that one :?
  14. Very disapointed in this year's show, there seemed to be more idiots than ever disregarding the rules, and there were a lot of thefts from the various sites. It seems that once a show gets as big as this one does there are never enough marshalls enforcing the rules as laid down by the organisers, eg. I had to register a bike and got a sticker with a number so if I was speeding then I would have been pulled, but you still get idiots speeding (large) and nothing done ?? Still it is a good show and with 10-15 thousand staying you do get your handfull of idiots who will spoil it for some, Oh and there was a bloke who stabbed himself with his bayonet after an argument with his wife, 2 heart attacks, police with cs gas after a geezer with a bb gun and some prat who decided to pull the water from the toilets. STILL
  15. Well everyone this is it  the time has come when today at 17:00 I will be setting up at Beltring (Happy Days) so hopefully by the time you read this I will be  I look forward to seeing you all as many as possible at the show , we will be in the quiet field so just look for a stolly (my mates) and a Reo M35A1 that I will be picking up on Monday morning (just brought it can't wait) :nut:, so please do look us up and introduce yourselves , as I will be to you lot. Take it easy and all those who are going, have a damn good time and will be back on in 2 weeks time after today.

  20. Yes welcome do watch out for the tents this year as well :?
  21. Hi Zoomer and welcome, just make sure you work harder on the wife, she will see sense eventually :-o
  22. I agree with all of the above but you have to see it from the organisers view and Health and Safety, there has to be a certain distance between campers in the case of a fire etc. last year they took plans of where everyone was camped (America's field) so that they would be able to do the same size pitches this year, but whether this will be done remains to be seen.
  23. ONLY 3 DAYS TO GO Only living 3 miles up the road, I will ask the wife to start doing breakfast and evening meals, at a good price of course :-D
  24. Hi Mate Bring along as much as you can eat, all the prices are silly especially the beer. I normally bring the normal, soup, beans, tin potato, egg, bacon, etc, only thing to get on site really is bread and milk
