  1. A tipper - would this have been original fitment for military service, or a common postwar conversion?

wot o N.O.S, it is an original fitment mostly supplied to the RAF for repairing airfields, there is a small write up in the late mike connifords military vehicle pamphlet number 3 austin k6 but it does t say how many were built of this variant,

    hope this helps

  2. wot o tony, the k3 is actually a k6 with gantry and winch used by the REME and i think that it was donated to the REME by the jersey govenment and now resides at arborfield REME museum, i think mr farrant could confirm this

    regards

  3. wot o jack, i was brought up in a small village in sussex and my first memories of the word bocage is reading BATTLE magazine in the early 70s and the story D DAY DAWSON. but as to wether my family or locals used the word bocage the answer is no we used spinney (small wood, thicket ) or copse (small wood of underwood and small trees grown for periodical cutting (coppiceing )

    regards

  4. Hanno,

I think from memory, this was brought back from Bosnia for the REME Museum and believe it to be at Arborfield......stand to be corrected.
