  3. Hi Richard Thanks for the advice. Very nice to know that I can get clutch out without removing the whole engine. I have already taken the gearbox of, I manage to get it off with the tire pump still attached, It took a bit off manhandling but I had a lot of room to work, as the transfer box, cross member and drive shafts where off. Have you had problems with at sticking clutch?
  4. Yes the cab is really badly designed rust wise. I took the cab off of mine because it was really bad in some places, and it was impossible to fix it insitu. Sadly I have not got any tips for working on the clutch. I am also looking for some advice I have a clutch plate that is stuck to the fly wheel. Which from what I have heard is a normal problem with Bedfords that have been standing for a long time. I am going to take the engine out of my frame and take the clutch apart. I can not see any other way because of the bell housing acting as the rear engine mounts.
  5. as Tony said the 3 bolt that holds the cab. But you have to remove the front, radiator, some of the floor and disconnect engine controles and wiring.
  6. Yes that is correct Richard my is the two piece cover.
  7. Hi and welcome Yes we can not have enough Pioneers here.....
  8. Hi No the cab does not tilt, there are two covers that you can lift off inside the cab. If that is not enough you have to dismantel the front and remove the whole cab. the picture is from the top of the engine with out cover.

  10. It is really nice to have it running, and it is so much easy to move around with it now. The cravel actualy was there when my farther bought the farm 6 years ago, but it takes a lot of work to keep it free form weeds.
  11. I took my out for a little drive, on the farm this weekend, and used the opportunity to take some better pictures of it. It has a spilt radiator bottom and it leaks a bit of diesel some places but it is running and driving.

  15. It could be a test of a pre fragmented bomb, I know the Danish air force have conducted a series of test to see what penetration power they have. the air force suspended a bomb form a rig and then park cars and placed things next to it, and then detonated remotely. I have seen some very impresive movies and pictures of it.

  22. Hi Desert Rat the description says: E 25254 A Scammell tank transporter carrying a repaired Valentine tank forms part of the United Nations parade in Cairo which saw 5,000 troops and vehicles pass through the city, 14 June 1943. Sadly nothing about the colour, but I think that its a two tone scheme, sand and light blue or green, but I cant tell for sure. I am fairly sure that the Scammell R100 towing the mathilda is in the 3 tone counter scheme with sand, blue and green. I found some more pics on the IWM site
