  1. One thing I failed to mention before was, a couple of times in the past my WC52 suffered from a similar problem, I simply slackened the union at the carb and bled the system via the primer on the fuel pump once fuel was squirting out I nipped up the union and the truck fired up straight away. It was such an easy job and so rarely happened I never bothered to find the cause to be honest.
  2. I bought a new fuel pump for my Dodge WC52 off the internet and it never failed why not just buy a new one IF indeed yours is faulty ? Make sure though you get an ethanol resistant diaphragm though. That way you keep things original and it's much easier if you are running six volts anyway.
  3. Your choice will be limited if you are still running six volts ?
  4. Don't listen to them, they're obsessed with Dodge's I've had both, a Dodge WC52 AND a Ford GPW EITHER of them are great vehicles. I've had a Jago too, again great little cars and easy to work on being Ford based. Welcome along.
  5. I bought an old garage oil pump from a autojumble cleaned it out and refilled it with fresh oil and it works a treat. Long hose with a thin nozzle so easy to get in to filler, two or three pumps job done and no hanging upside down with oil pouring down your arm
  6. Welcome to the HMVF Andy any pic's of the Lightweight ?
  7. My Father in Law has a Standard Fordson based Road Roller made during WW2 for the Army. I will go down and take pictures when he gets back from holiday. Another rare piece of kit converted by Barfords of Grantham, Lincs.
  8. R.I.P Les respect and gratitude for your service.
  9. Welcome along. As said above the vehicle only has to be substantially complete to start the registration process, ie. not in a million bits on the garage floor so you should be able to set the ball rolling saving time in the long run. I found the MVT very helpful and with their help the whole registration was done and dusted within two weeks.
  10. Welcome to the HMVF Kirk, you weren't a Captain were you ?
  11. Welcome Tim, thanks for sharing the photo's too
  12. All the more reason to get local MVT members advice and help. I have had lots of help and advice from our group so hopefully one local to this will be able to help.
