  1. Hi Gerard, that's a great photo. Do you have any more of your dad in service. It's great to look back at those days and see family members doing what a lot of youngsters have come to take for granted these days. If it wasn't for the bravery of the men and women back then we would not have the freedom we have today. All the best Steve.
  2. Printed mine off, red was for the 5 day exhibitor pass and a green one for my military vehicle entry. Seemed straight forward enough. No problems with mine. This was 2 weeks ago.
  3. Thanks for the link, but the bloody things are out of stock, just my luck.
  4. Ah, thanks for the info. I googled WW2 US Army Radios and that's what came up. I know the set you mean, just a long rectangular box with a circular ear piece and an angled circular mouthpiece. Am I correct with that. Are there many out there that you know of or seen any for sale in the UK. Cheers Steve.
  5. Hi all, I'm looking for a WW2 Banana Radio. It will be for display only so no need for it to be in working order. Have seen some on the old fleebay but most are from the Nam era. Hopefully someone can help out. Cheers Steve.
  6. Hi Mark and welcome to the box of mad frogs. You should enjoy all of what goes on here as we are all mad for the hobby, well I am.:nut: All the best Steve.
  7. Hi Gerard, hope your coping ok. Just to let you know that I have sent you a PM about the doors 👍
  8. Hi Gerard, don't know if you remember me but you said I could have your door kit off the dodge. It's looking great, are you still waiting to sell the door kit and if so how much do you want for them. All the best Steve.
  9. Hi Terry, yes I have the centre bin lid just not had time to put it on. I have the bren mount and a bren for her. Looking for about the £12000 mark or near offer. Cheers Steve.
  10. Hi Steve, good to hear from you again been a long time. Hope you and the family are well. I sold all my spare bins a while ago. I'll ask a couple of mates who live down south if they can help. When are you next venturing out to a venue, be good to see you for a catch up. Mark and I are off to Bressingham this weekend and then Huey's at Bradenham for the bank holiday Monday. all the best mate, keep safe Steve.
  11. Looking to raise some funds so thinking of selling my ferret. Starts and drives well, the tank is out as it has been cleaned so running out of a jerry can at the mo. PM me if interested before I change my mind.
  12. So mine must be working in reverse to that as the tap is upper most, meaning the lever is facing up and not down. It's now getting confusing. lol.
  13. My dilemma is when I sit in the drivers seat looking down at the change over switch, the actual thumb knob that moves from left to right, does it mean when it is pointing to the left that this means it's operating the reserve tank and when moved to the right, the main tank. Once this is known, then I can use one of these stickers.
  14. Hi all, after 3 years of sitting in the garage I have decided to get my old landy up and running. Cleaned the plugs and points and a new battery, turned the key and away she went but coughing and spluttering. This is I believe, due to the old fuel which is in the tank, 3yrs old. Have drained out and replaced with new but my question is, I'm not sure which way the change over switch on the tank should be facing to operate the tank under the drivers seat. Has duel tanks and need to know which side is which. Any thoughts would be of help. Cheers Steve.
  15. They were my 2nd. choice but when I called them a couple of weeks ago they had none in stock and they had not updated their web page so the one seen was not available.
  16. First thing I done was to google the RTR belt and contacted everyone of them with no joy. The ones that have them on their web page for sale are all out of stock and they have not updated the page. I have only found 1 belt for sale but it is a small, 30" to 32". no good as I'm a 34" waist, and no I am not going to try and slim down to get it to fit. lol.
  17. Hi all, in need of a RTR Stable belt in a med. or large to fit a 34" waist. Have tried all the usual sites and companies with no joy, they seem to be like rocking horse s** t lol. Hopefully someone will help me in my quest for this elusive belt. Cheers Steve.
  18. Being an ex mechanic I have found it a joy to work on my ferret going back to the basic plugs and points. I have always thought that with everything set as it should be the old system works fine and has given me great satisfaction when she fires up. She purrs merrily and doesn't miss a beat.
  19. Hi and welcome. You have 2 good looking vehicles there. You will enjoy a Dodge WC, I love mine and fell in with a bit of luck as got mine just after it had been restored. Only cost me £8500. with a list as long as your arm with things done, i.e. engine rebuild, gearbox, brakes, fuel tank, steering etc, etc. Ignore the side mirrors as these have been replaced with the proper ones.
  20. Hi there and welcome to the forum. We will soon have you looking for some armour.:cool2: All the best Steve.
  21. It is sure is a grand job but I like mine the way it is, meaning it is just as the last squaddie got out of her. All I'm doing is giving her a lick of paint on the outside. Inside is as it was from service. Gives me a sense of her history sitting in the drivers seat and feeling like I have just got in after the last lad got out, you can't beat that feeling. Each to their own but having a FV in showroom condition is not my cup of tea.
  22. Hi all, does anyone know if new member 'WOMBLE' (Gareth) is still out there. Have tried to PM him but no joy. Just wondered if someone on here knows him or his whereabouts. Cheers Steve.
  23. listened to the show but a bit disappointed. Thought there could have been a bit more people involved, meaning the public asking questions. But there again, if no one phoned in. Still quite entertaining.
  24. Hi and welcome on board, any photo's of your trio. Steve.
