  4. i have read that too, its a good idea (i like half tracks its a dream/goal of mine to own one) the half track landy i mean but it is full of pit falls

    kool, i like how the news always reports them as "relics" lol but i cant believe that the british government local or otherwise has declined the offer of free help!
  7. i never bought thru mail order i always go a pick em up or get em from fairs. what about DHL they are normally very good
  8. yeah i saw one on the jeep parts/book stall and when i looked in you do have to be 5foot nothing and as thin as a rake lol something i aint lol
  9. i would love to get a centaur but i cant afford one! not only that i would hate to think i was driving on the road, because i heard they like to go in a strightline too much lol
  10. the only way to learn is buy it and have ago! there always lots of info on the net and with collectors to help you out

  18. the mounting of the radios is as what i have seen on the shows, but trying to get any info on what radios fit in which network is hard. although the way funds are i might just get the 1 353 and the 1 352
  19. i have seen a few old series 3 landys about ( i tend to seek out the older than 1980s landys) but i have seen lots of vehicles in that scheme plus i wanted something alittle different thank all sand, green and black, green or SAS type because i feel that the workhorses never get any limelight only the rare types, 101s and DPV/SAS types

  21. well i am going with the pics i have seen and yes i know about the head lights but the rear crossmember was not done by the previous 2 owners so must have been done in the army? but having not got the history yet i dont know! i know the camo scheme is used by the 1st RTR so thats one reason i was using it lol. the vents i dont know when they were done but its not by me or the preivous owner so tey again i have no idea.
  22. lol no i am not lol i did in college tho because history was not modern history (no WW2 :-( ) i am not too fond of the area around campus thats why i come home every weekend during the semester lol plus i have work to do on the landy!

  24. lol, well this has somei have been interested in for years so the first chance i got i took it lol
  25. they were in service after the war for the mountian troops in norway i think, i remember reading it somewhere. nice pics tho!
