Well we all got back on Monday after 11 days on site.
Overall I think it was good with the usual teething problems
Good Points:
Weather though nothing to do with the organisers
The amount of peopler there as visitors, we were at the outer edge of the living history field and had a lot of traffic
The bar on top of the victorian grandstand, great breeze, cold beer, chesterfields and a good view
All the vintage stall and hairdressers, made my wife and friends very happy
Good amount of traders
I like the one way system but bit odd going through arena
Tea Rooms were nice though not sure they enjoyed me and my rather hot team taking up space
Bad Points
The ditches in the living history field, really needs some bridges
The whole place could do with some "you are here" type maps
Seemed less living history folks there, maybe as I could be bothered with the ditch system so gave up on a few journeys. Maybe I missed folks
Very rough ground in camping areas but I know this is being ploughed, levelled and planted
Lack of water in showers a few times but fixed and ours were cleaned. The system was a bit like Le Mans with someone at each "Toilet City" as Rex called them cleaning them
I will feed these direct to the team as well.
