  1. Thanks Chris, buy you a beer at Beltring. I'm really not good at this, even managed to post the thread up twice (shakes head).

Is there a delay between posting and it going through the system?

  2. sirhc and RGJ. Thanks for the ideas but they dont seem to work. Chris - yours just pastes the link not the picture.

Alan - your idea, there is no paper clip or any toolbar icons.

Gonna work through cripps idea now.

  3. Sorry Chris, I cant find the tool bar with the add pics icon. If I start a thread or add to an existing one - the bar and icons are not there. I have got the reference from photobucket - I dont do it from there do I?

  4. I know Heliops has explained it in the past but how do I add pictures to a thread?

I have now successfully logged onto photobucket and uploaded the snaps there - which is better already than the previous attempt.

What now? Make it simple mind, because I am better with spanners than a box of electrons.

    Cheers

  5. Oh Sara, you are such a tease. All these old timers covered in grease thinking that there is a young lady waiting to join, who likes heavy duty green engineering......

  6. When I took my Ferret to Beltring the first time, some bloke had a go because the headlights were wrong for the period (being halogen). I didn't care, I was just happy to have a vehicle so I was able to take part. I think the comment about ignorance is very valid - I do not have an army background so couldn't tell you what is wrong or right about most of the vehicles on display. I still enjoy it though, it would be a shame if folks didn't take their kit along.

  7. Unfortunately the larger airframes like the victor are hugely expensive to keep in the air, as the vulcan project are finding out. The problem with the mossie was the wood and glue construction, it was very difficult to keep airworthy. Having seen Neil Williams beat up West Malling in a Mosquito will stay with me for ever.

  8. How can any member on this forum not care? The day we stop working to keep these machines in the air is the day we might as well give up. Last one out please put out the lights.

Jack - you just pulled the pin and rolled it in...................

  9. Top tip, I have had to take the test 3 times and passed it each time. At the point you would brake or swerve - click the button. Eg a pedestrian walking towards the road across the path is a potential hazard but the scoring window only comes live when they actually step off the path in front of you.

Pm me with your address and I will send you a practice disc.

  10. A friend has just obtained an FAC for a 76 mm on a scorpion. Can I ask who knows what about blank charges.

Lee, I think we spoke at Beltring about black powder vs flashpowder.

Need a bit of assistance guys.

    Dave
