  1. Yeah I'm with you on that one, I think its kinda nice as well. :-D
  2. Its the Victory show at Cosby just outside Leicester. This was its third year, it just seems to go from strength to strength. More slanted towards re enactors and it is WW2 not a general MV show, although there were some vehicles non WW2 near the traders stalls. Well worth putting in next years diary for a weekend away, don't forget your ear plugs for the battles though. :-D http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a270/whistlinwolf/vic_148.jpg[/img] At the safety briefings we were told our first few minutes of our run in to the large battlefield were to be done "battened down".This was why.An excellent walking barrage, I'm still grinning at the thought of it. :-D

  7. Bayeaux tapestry is a safe bet and the beaches are spectacular in their own right, especially at dusk( romantic approach always works wonders) ;-) Pont Du Hoc is impressive .
  8. You need a softer compoundwith bartreads as there is no grip with the tread. Old hardened bar grips were the main reason for my upside down off roading in the jeep ! :oops:

  14. Good to meet up with you Bodge, glad you enjoyed the day out, We aim to please you know! I was dressed up Jack, I was re enacting the AA, signed up 5 members at a special cash only rate :-D

  17. According to the online weather for the next 5 days its "Officially" going to be warm and sunny for next weekend. So don't forget your sun cream ;-) With close on 180 vehicles booked in , covering all from Dafs to Chaffees, its promising to be a great weekend. See you there.

  19. Totally shameless bump back to the top again ,sorry Jack. This time next week we shall all be basking in the sub tropical heat and pleasant surroundings of Elvington. 8-) With 175 vehicles of all shapes and sizes booked in to date and a full compliment of re enactors diaoramas its promising to be a great weekend and trade stalls to boot! So bring your(or someone elses) flexible friends and have your selves a ball.
  20. I once asked the same question and apparently its a no go. They will however fit on a left hand drive suzuki jeep as I have seen it done and it made a nice daily run around.
