  14. I think panic is an understatement. Never dialled a number so fast  Visions of smouldering ruins are all I can think of. It was the dishwasher , and it tripped the RCD so she knew there was something wrong, otherwise it would have really taken hold. apparently she could hear it crackling and see the flames underneath it. No lasting damage to the kitchen luckily, lino a bit scorched and dishwasher is now probably being formed into a new Ford wing as we speak. Tim(1)
  15. Ahh, Australian dial a disk is better than ours isn't it We were in Malta 3 weeks ago, got a text message from offspring on Saturday morning that read; Hi , ope u avin gud oliday, just a small fire in kitchen . dont worry. Hannah. xxx  Makes jumping on the settee seem a bit tame. Tim(1)
  16. Hi Andy, totally agree with you there, we had parents with wide eyed kids desperate to see inside the tanks last week but unfortunately we had to tell them sorry no can do, they seemed to understand and all left with a chunky kitkat in their sweaty hands but not that priceless memory they would have had in my younger days. Beaurocracy gone raving mad. My daughter worked for Asda whilst at uni and they could not even pick up a lost kiddie in the store, had to leave em bawling all on their own sat on the floor......... Madness. I reckon this has a lot to do with why people are like they are in todays society. OK rant over as well Tim(1)
