  1. News from the show-ground today

Lots of vehicles arrived today, apparently there is around 100 in place already. Hubby and my dad have been busy helping get things sorted. Everything has gone smoothly (apart from The cubed one trying to start his petrol genny using diesel :wow:)

All ready for the first day open to public tomorrow. I'm nearly all packed and organised for zooming up there after work! After I have sorted a jubilee party for 40 nursery children in the afternoon that is!! Currently painting my nails red, white and blue!!!!!!!!!!

For those who are coming, hope to bump into at some point :-)

  2. Well after a long journey home from work due to road closures and overturned lorries (hopefully the driver is ok) the cubed one has packed and just pulled away and is heading for the show ground!!! My dad (rosiesdad) is following behind. So I'm all alone here now , I still have to work till the end of the week.

hmmm time to open a bottle of charddy I recon!!!!!!!!! :-D

  3. The cubed one is up there now helping to set out props etc, it's soooo hot and stuffy here now I recon a storm is brewing, hopefully it will blow over us and land the other side of the hill which often happens!!!

Not sure if I'm going to make it up there between now and Friday, have children's after school clubs and staff meetings to attend!!! Why does work always get in the way of fun?!

  10. Has anyone ever tried towing a Ben Hur trailer (with it's original lunette ring) with a NATO hook as fitted to Land Rovers, etc?

I'm sure I've heard there is a slight difference, and I've never needed to try it, but I may need to tow a Ben Hur soon just for one short journey.

    You know my reply!!!:D:D
