I do know that we are doing a Falklands Special 30th Anniversary where we are getting all the airframes outside to include an early evening photo opportunity The Sea king nav lights work including beacons etc as do on the Harrier, so something new i guess (23rd and 24th June)
  3. Thanks Martin, Eastern Surplus supplied me with 2 x Wix 51458 filters, may I ask what brand of oil you use ? cheers John
  4. Thanks again Degsy, yes they are very knowledgable, not sure they are used to 'limeys' but my top ten questions feature on the first few pages !! even 'cracked tyres' !!!:red:
  5. Thanks again Mark, much appreciated ! I do look in at Steel Soldiers, however i don't think they would tolerate a thicko like me:nut:
  6. Thanks Degsy, i only quoted Millers as we use their oil in large quantities, however being a non stock item I would have to pay the normal price, I think I will stick with the Morris 30 grade, the guys at Eastern surplus say i shouldn't need more than 20.5 litres ? is that correct? i have been doing the old US quarts to Imperial then to metric etc i got 21 litres...maths never was my strong point.
  7. I will have to lurk round frickley more often, this sounds interesting !

  9. Hello One and All, I have finally got hold of a spin on oil filter kit from Eastern Surplus, have trawled this section however cannot find the commercial oil code for OE/HDO 30 as quoted in my Reo manual, would I be safe with Millers SAE30 ? also with the spin on system I apparently need les oil ? can anyone verify please ?:red: I tried the search system but to no avail thanks in anticipation...John:blush:

  19. Thanks Chaps, I'm kicking myself that Marcus Glen had some 6NT batteries for sale at Newark week last sunday, but being naieve thought my civvy commercials would suffice, looking at the spec I should really have 664 not 644, I suppose I'd better get hold of Marltrax and see if Rod has any 'good' battery boxes, i have the steel type not the new Plastic ones ??? thanks again for your help
  20. Well, as the weather begins to get colder, and after killing the battery on my 4x4 my thoughts turned to my trusty Reo, plucked up the courage to start looking for replacements, as the ones I've got are coming to 'end of useful life'. anyway I have two 644 Commercial batteries at the moment, after searching through the manuals I see I should have 6TL batteries (US spec), I need to fix the old steel battery box as well.... anyway does anyone know the commercial alternative to the 6TL ? Thanks
  21. Well Done to all ! As a newbie I have to say everybody was so helpful and took care to help with any 'stupid question' I posed, spent lots and got loads of stuff i apparently don't really need Thanks Tony and your Crew !
