  10. Help! I need something to do during the easter which is about one and a half week away. Evertything will be closed for half a week, it's too early to get the Dodge out, so what do I do? Or rather what books and what movies do I get? For the books I want something historic, non fiction. Of the better books I've read is the "The Guts to Try: The Untiold Story of the Iran Hostage Rescue Mission by the On-Scene Desert Commander". I'd really like to read more about the modern US ops in Panama and south america, but don't know of any good books. Perhaps you do? As for ww2 related stuff I've read a lot about army and airforce, perhaps not that much about the navies. Also read a lot of western europe, pacific and russia. Perhaps not that much about partisans in the Yugoslavia and that area. Come on with your suggestions! As for movies I just like to watch movies with military vehicles, perhaps some special ops movies if they're to be found!? I hope you can help me out! Marty
  11. Ok, I'll admit it right away, I found this link at the Dodge forum, but it's too cool to keep it within the family. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cef6xrrhOm4 This is what I want to drag behind my Dodge. Marty

  14. A couple of my friends are these days taking part in a new swedish movie. This takes place in the border area between Norway and Sweden during the war. It's fictional but very good made. The germans use german equipment, thanks to my friends, which also drive them. They have a german motorcycle, a Stoewer and a Opel Blitz. Read more at: http://www.gransen.se/ Marty
  15. Looks like a pretty good sized museum. With lot's of the collection outdoors, it's light and nice! The museum looks inviting... Marty

  20. That's K-98 right, but can you tell me just how many you can see? :-) Marty
  21. Glad you like the photos! I might add another piece of information about the airport at Bodo. Not only did U2s land there, but it also served as an emergency recovery base for the SR-71 Blackbird. It was in use 5 times between 1981-85. All 5 times the planes were recovered! Marty
  22. On saturday Febrary 27th chief designer Clarence would have turned 100 years. Recipient of the medal of freedom for his work at Lockheeds Skunk Works. The more famous planes includes the F-104, U2 og SR-71. Read more about this swedish immigrant at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clarence_Johnson And a favorite of yours... :-) Happy birthday! Marty
  23. All in all this is a very good museum. Large collection in very good condition. It also tells the story of flight in Norway. It describes how things works. It is in a very nice builing. It has several of the standard planes, but also some more unusual planes like the Mosquito and U2. I can recommend it very much. Probably the best museum I've been to. We had a great time! The end! Martin Lillemaehlum, Norway
  24. At the civillian part of the museum, they aim to describe how the planes works. Also what goes on at the airport towers during take-off and landing. Many things that kids of all ages can mess around with. Even a real Cessna where you can pull all handles and switches. There's also a flight simulator that you can try at certain times. Lots of nice civillian planes. Equally good as the military part. End of part IX. Marty
