  1. last 60 pattern DPM jacket I sold on Ebay went for less than £ 90 a few months back and it was a size 9. £ 50's a low start price I'd have thought bearing in mind some of the asking prices of the more common 68 pattern jackets.
  2. If you have a valid UK passport I'd check to see if you can apply for the new licence online , might save you that trip plus the cost of the photos .
  3. Have you considered silicone zip sprays which you'd get from camping / outdoors type shops.
  4. since disabling error reporting I've not had the same problems with the site when using IE8 , took me probably less than a minute to do .
  5. I've found that the problems seem to happen when a page on here is loading ads from certain URL's , I am using IE8 and XP , using Firefox on the site the same problem doesn't occur . You can run two browsers side by side so I run IE8 and Firefox but as an aside I seem to have sorted the problem I have on here tonight by disabling error reporting , this was the dumprep in task manager which was hogging the resources on my pc and causing IE to hang.
  6. It wasn't always plentiful and you could buy new Indian made 58 lookalike pouches , belts and full sets around 20/25 years ago . From memory the weave was different , it was a lighter weight , a darker green, the stitching and metal fittings were different quality .
  7. A search for ' NSN sewing kit ' on the search engines should find you what you want . The ones I saw back in the 80's /90's were olive green canvas , but were possibly Dutch issue :undecided:
  8. If a site has been archived you should be able to see the site as it was previously via www.archive.org , you'll see a section called ' wayback machine ' type in the URL you want and you'll get a list of dates the site was visited and stored on the archive .
  9. You might get some information from the Public Records Office web site , www.nationalarchives.org , click on 'records' then ' looking for a person ' and theres a section for Royal Navy , you might also want to check out the MoD website www.mod.uk which has a section for veterans and how to obtain service records.
