  1. As previously noted, Bovington, Wheatcroft x2 and Cadmans always had one though I can't remember seeing it lately. It may be one of KWs. Having just re-read Johns post, our numbers tally!
  2. Sorry, brain fade.......... I'll go back to sleep!
  3. So 9.00-20 then. Reo tyres are available easily, provided you are happy with a round shouldered NDCC.
  4. Further to Roberts answer, the F sections were 4' lengths and came in sets of three. The Canadian wartime sets screwed together and were much better than the British as they tended to stay together! The G rod is 20" long and is 1/4" in diameter. There was no longer rod AFAIK, it was a very short range inter-troop set .
  5. Well the leaf is a silver fern. Silver dopes would have been obtainable at any RFC aerodrome.
  6. The olive drab introduced in April 1944 was given the code SCC15 (standard camouflage colour). As Clive points out, though BS381 existed before the war, some codes and indeed colours of a particular code have changed over the years. I always understood that SCC15 became BS298 without change but I do not know for sure. My Sherman colour looks different now than when I painted it in 2004, 65 years plus will have a large effect! If you like the colour and it's close enough......
  7. What you mean the ones that have returned to their birthplace? Hmm, let's see..... only two so far.:-D
  8. Hmm, slippery slope..... Soon you'll be hearing them say ''Some pommie's got one of our lorries'' and before you know it you'll be accused of stealing their heritage......
  9. I thought the other tube was an M7 3" from an M10, same bore but certainly just thrown in the mount!
  10. SP Anti tank guns were always RA kit. See above! Yes, a lot of pages but I'll have a look through and give you an idea of pictures. I'll be happy to scan the ones you need. Adrian
  11. Not many Archer experts left I should think! John Pearson is the man for Valentine though and I have a full set of manuals for Archer, Service Instruction Book, Workshop manual and Armament Pamphlet.
  12. Who me? Nah, I only pretended cos I knew Mike was itching to hook up......
  13. Ahh, congratulations must be in order to both of you Mike!
  14. I usually buy them at Beltring, they often turn up there though not marked as such. The original plug was a KLG RC/M but the ones I find are marked FV175937 and packed 12 to a bag with stock no. 2920-99-803-5811.
  15. Funnily enough, I've just seen their ebay page and saw their IHC repro lights! I'll pop in on tuesday and see if they fit.
  16. Thanks Richard, I knew if anybody had solved it, it would be you! I've found a pre focus unit that is quoted as a 5" but I have yet to get one to see if it will fit, the Butler internal rim diameter being 4 7/8". Your suggestion may prove a better bet.
  17. It's definately a Daimler Armoured Car.......:-D Actually it's a Mk 2 as well.
  18. Has anybody had any success finding a modern unit, either sealed beam or pre-focus that fits the old Butler or Lucas headlight and gives a dippable beam?
  19. I always thought OD 298 was superceded by Deep Bronze Green which was then replaced by Nato Green. I wonder what was being painted OD post-war and when until.
  20. Well you can't live in the land of milk and honey and have good floor pans....:-)
